Fair play to this young lady. Emili Sandé has donned her charitable cap and have today announced a special charity gig to be held in Dublin towards the end of the year.
She will play The Olympia Theatre on Sunday 4th November 2012 with all the proceeds of the concert going to Childline. Tickets for the show are still quite reasonable at €27.90 inclusive of booking fee and tickets go on sale in just a weeks time on Friday 22nd June at 9am.
Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.ie and outlets nationwide.
Ashley Balbirnie, Chief Executive, ISPCC said
“We are hugely grateful for the support of Emeli Sande, putting on this performance in aid of Childline. ISPCC’s Childline service is an essential support to young people in Ireland and last year we received over 800,000 calls. Sadly, due to lack of funding and resources, we were unable to answer over a third of these calls, meaning hundreds of children’s voices went unheard everyday; a very worrying statistic. The proceeds which we hope will be raised from Emeli’s gig will make a huge difference to Childline as we endeavour to listen to every child who bravely reaches out for support.”
