RTÉ Concert Orchestra will be playing the music of movies when they play the Big Top as part of the Galway Arts Festival on Saturday July 27th.
It’s a special evening of orchestral music for movie enthusiasts and fans of the RTE Orchestra in a rare standing crowd to the orchestra.
Speaking about their upcoming standing performance, David Brophy, Principal Conductor of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra said ‘I am delighted to at last be bringing the RTÉ Concert Orchestra to the Galway Arts Festival. The RTÉ CO are no strangers to Galway and the west, but this will be our first year to experience the magic of the Festival Big Top. We’ve got a spectacular Movie Music Prom lined up which should lift the roof off the tent with enough celluloid-fuelled decibels to be heard way out in the mid-Atlantic.
